Community Wood Recycling meets at Southampton

We had wonderful weather for our regional meeting at Southampton Wood Recycling Project. This project, based by the River Itchen, is run by a dedicated team who combine a love of wood and carpentry with a real commitment to making a difference in their community. It was an inspiration to see their wood store and workshop, and meet the people who work and volunteer there.

Wood recyclers from the South, Midlands and West of England joined to us discuss their successes and challenges. We particularly enjoyed hearing about the people whose lives have been changed for the better through volunteering, training and finding employment with our network. We’ve got some amazing stories to share over the next few months!
