The team at Community Wood recycling network members Leeds Wood Recycling were delighted to welcome a group from Wates to their wood store for a festive workshop. The Wates staff worked with hand tools to create a variety of Christmas gifts for Leeds Women’s Aid, a local charity that supports women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.
Community Wood Recycling Managing Director Richard Mehmed said:
“We’re so grateful to Wates Group for their support over the year by using our waste wood collection service and for their commitment to giving back to the local community. Together, we are making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people as we build a more sustainable future.”
