Glasgow Wood Makes Hedgehog Houses for Kier Construction
Glasgow Wood created some flat-pack hedgehog houses with reclaimed sheet wood for Kier Construction as part of National Garden Wildlife Week in June. With help from some local pupils, who learned about the important role of hedgehogs in the ecosystem, the houses were assembled and are now in action.
If you want to have a go at creating your own hedgehog house, the British Hedgehog Preservation Society has guidance on building a house that hedgehogs will really love. If you’re in Glasgow, just say you want to make a hedgehog house and they can cut all the materials to size for you. Otherwise, all Community Wood Recycling enterprises stock a range of sheet wood that’s perfect for projects like this.
