Morgan Sindall Award for EMERGE

Congratulations to the team at our Manchester wood recyclers EMERGE who have won a Climate Action Award from Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure in their 2025 North West Supply Chain Awards.
EMERGE has worked with Morgan Sindall on a number of recycling challenges; recycling almost 200 items of office furniture from its offices in Salford Quays to 12 charities across the North West, repurposed hard-to-recycle scaffolding wrap from Accrington Town Hall with a local tree surgeon to protect felled trees and found new use for rigid plastic traffic barriers from its Hammerstone Road Depot.
Kane Greenough, Senior Sustainability Manager at Morgan Sindall, said EMERGE had been chosen for the award “in recognition of your outstanding contributions over the past few years in championing reuse and driving impactful recycling efforts – preventing countless items from ending up in incineration plants.” He described EMERGE Recycling’s dedication as “inspiring”.
EMERGE Commercial Director Mike Taylor added:
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Morgan Sindall for continuing to work with us, being willing to think outside the box and pioneering reuse and recycling of challenging materials in the construction industry. This collaboration results in carbon reduction and delivering real social value in our community.”
