Training the next generation of entrepreneurs across the world

Community Wood Recycling Managing Director Richard Mehmed has been leading a programme to train the environmental social entrepreneurs of the future across Europe and beyond including India, Eritrea and Sudan. The Leaders for Green Social Economy is an innovative initiative designed to empower communities with the skills and knowledge needed for sustainable development and green social entrepreneurship.
Topics discussed have included:
- Environmental challenges and local solutions
- The role of social entrepreneurs in sustainability
- The circular economy vs. the linear model
- Starting a green social enterprise: feasibility, community needs, and market research
- Powerful case studies including the Community Wood Recycling network
- Inspiring insights from over 30 countries involved through the CEFEC network
- Participants were encouraged to think globally and act locally, with the goal of becoming true Green Leaders in their communities.
